ABOUT US
The Haitian Community Organization (HCO) is a is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed for the purpose to serve the Haitian community. We embodied what the city of Evanston is about, inclusion and togetherness.
Our festival welcomes families of all ethnicity and demographics for a day of positive, safe, and healthy fun. This festival is a great celebration of cultural music, art, food, dance, and of course fellowship. Providing live entertainment has always been a staple at the Festival, whether it be local bands, Caribbean artists or even young upcoming rappers, there is something to everyone's liking.
Through the festival, we partner with parents, schools, businesses, sponsors to promote 'KIDS GOING BACK TO SCHOOL'. We provide school supplies (such as backpacks, pens, pencils, notebooks) to children by generating income through this festival. Our core aim is to serve the Haitian community.
At the 'KIDS GOING BACK TO SCHOOL' event, people will enjoy a free live music concert, Caribbean food, soccer and basketball tournaments, face painting, a bouncy house and much more.
